We'll always do our best to accommodate a key change request. Just order the track in its original key and email us with your preferred key straight after purchasing. We'll attempt the shift for you at no extra cost, though it's worth noting that larger shifts away from the original key aren't always possible without affecting audio quality.

Instrument groups are typically split into: Drums/Percussion, Bass, Electric Guitars, Acoustic Guitars, Lead/Solo Guitars, Piano, Electric Piano, Organ, Strings, Brass, Synths, Backing Vocals, and a Click Track.

Because multitrack files are large, we manually send download links after your order is placed. This usually takes up to 48 hours, or the next working day if ordered outside office hours.

Do the tracks end with a fade-out?

No, all our backing tracks feature definitive, fully arranged endings. We never use fade-outs.

How do I know which version of a song the track is based on?

Artists often release multiple versions of a song (album, live, single edit). If you are unsure which version our track emulates, please contact us to verify before purchasing. Note that the lyrics on the info page are just a guide.

The majority of our catalog is produced in-house at our own recording studio by our team of professional musicians and engineers — we've been doing this for decades. We also work with carefully selected producers and licensing partners to expand the catalog, and some tracks are produced specifically through the GigChum Club voting system. Every track meets the same quality standard regardless of who produced it.

For every 5 tracks you purchase, you'll earn a free track! Your loyalty points are automatically tracked on your dashboard. Once you reach 5 points, you'll receive a coupon code for a free track, and your card will reset. Note: Vocal Guide versions don't count toward your loyalty card — only backing tracks and backing tracks with backing vocals are eligible.

How do Club credits work?

Each month you're an active member, 5 credits are added to your account. One credit equals one backing track of your choice from the catalog. Credits roll over indefinitely — if you don't use them one month, they're still there the next. You can redeem credits from your dashboard or directly on any track page. Club credit redemptions are separate from the loyalty card and don't count toward your 5-track loyalty total.

How does the Club voting work?

Each month, Club members vote for the next backing track we produce. You get one vote per voting round, and once you submit your vote it can't be changed. The song with the most votes is guaranteed to be produced (subject to licensing and production eligibility). Once produced, the winning track is added to the normal catalog and is available for everyone to buy — but as a Club member you can get it using one credit.

Can I still buy tracks normally if I'm a Club member?

Absolutely. Club credits are just another way to get tracks. You can still purchase any track normally at any time, and your loyalty card continues to work exactly as it always has for paid purchases.

What happens to my credits if I cancel my Club membership?

Accepted Answer

If you cancel, you keep your paid membership and all benefits (including voting rights) until the end of your current billing period. After that, you won't receive new monthly credits, but any unused credits you've already earned remain in your account and can still be redeemed. You just won't be able to vote in future rounds.

What's the difference between a Vocal Guide version and a regular backing track?

A Vocal Guide version includes a guide vocal melody to help you learn the song — it's not meant for performance. Regular backing tracks come either with or without backing vocals. Vocal Guide versions are priced differently and don't count toward your loyalty card, but they can still be redeemed using a Club credit.
